The City currently has Phase 3 of a years long Utility Undergrounding Study nearly complete. Ask your public officials and City staff members if the study's recommendations will really help you ... especially if you live in Zip Codes 94708 or 94707 ... then make your own judgement. The city's map below shows that All Streets and Roads in the Fire District are designated EMERGENCY ACCESS AND ESCAPE ROUTES.
BCUU supports undergrounding all utilities lining the public streets in the Berkeley fire area especially given the inadequate nature of the streets themselves.
